ScamBoard ScamBoard - Complaint Platform (http://www.scam-board.com) helped me get my money back, I wrote my complaint on their forum and after a few weeks, the company i was complaining about contacted me after being instructed to pay back my money.

Scamboard only remove content from their forum once the funds have been returned to the complaintee and the payment back is confirmed.

Scamboard arranged it all.

Amazing

This reads like an ad, but I will bite. Is ScamBoard taking a cut of the monies recovered? This sounds a little like extortion to me. Other well known forums have been accused of operating in this manner and they certainly weren't acting in an ethical manner. Tell us more!

I see they have received a complaint about freelancer.com with no further comments.

Heather, I think you should delete this entire thread. The person who started it (panyen543) has never contributed anything here before, and his comment looks like free advertising.

Also, I just checked their website, and the oldest complaint I could find was made on January 14. Yet panyen543 claims that he got his money back a few weeks after he complained on their forum. How is that possible? Where is his complaint?

Personally, I'd prefer to leave the thread where it is.

If "Scam-Board" is happy to participate in this sort of blatant "scamming" I think the REALSCAM.com (www.realscam.com) members deserve to know exactly what sort of organization it and the people behind it are.

Anyone who does a quick Google on "panyen543" will see only this thread, so, IM(very)HO he/she has done the job for us.

I wrestled with it. That board is much worse than Ed Magedson's Rip-of Report on first glance. I want to follow this and expose exactly what they are up to and who is behind it. Almost without exception, advertising on anti-scam boards backfires! So, let's get cracking!

Now, look what you have done. You spammed my board with a whole slew of identical posts and got yourself banned. Legitimate companies don't have to resort to that to advertise. What a toilet flush of a deal you are running.

Folks that are in need of help should make reports to the FTC, State Attorney General's Office in their state, the SEC, the FBI etc. and / or contact a competent attorney for advice as is appropriate. The extortion board model is not the way to go!

January 18

I wanted to order some services through the Freelancer. I deposited more than $1500, and after that freelancer has suspended my account.

They required a scanned copy of my passport. I have contacted them in Live chat and asked to explain why they have stolen my money. They said that this information is confidential. Then I asked them to provide me their certificate of registration to make sure they are serious company and my documents will not be used in fraudulent purposes. They have refused to do it and started to blackmail me that will not return my money. Finally I have sent them my passport.

The next day I have received a message that my passport is accepted, but they also need a photo of myself holding a piece of paper with the verification word and my username on it!!!!!!!

I have contacted their supervisor and asked him why they require my personal information and who gave them the right to make verifications. He has answered me using a template that they can't share the reason of suspension, and the right to require personal information is GIVEN TO THEM BY THEIR TERMS OF SERVICES!!!! How is it, huh? I have asked him whether their Terms of Services have the constitutional power, after that he has started to blackmail me again they they will never unblock my account.

I asked him how many verifications are they going to make, and he has promised that this is the last one. I have done the necessary photo and uploaded it.

The next day I have opened My Account and have seen... that they even haven't responded me!!!!!!!!!!!! I have contacted them again and asked what's the matter. They have said that they also need my photo with the verification word on paper and my passport in the hand! I have said that yesterday I was promised that previous photo will be the last proof they require from me, they told this is not true. Then I asked them why have they lied me, and they have told me that they simply don't take responsibility for the words of other support agents!!! Then I required to invite the supervisor I talked to the previous day, but the support agent has refused to do it and left the chat.

I have contacted their support again and asked them whether they have the document that allows them to collect personal information of their customers. They have said "Yes, we have it!". Then I asked them to provide me a scanned copy of it. The support agent has answered using a template that this document is confidential in nature and not for public disclosure. I have said that THE SCANNED PASSPORT is a confident document, same as the photoes of its owner that is holding it in the hand. Also I have said that this kind of documents is not confidential, and if they refuse to provide it, it means they DON'T HAVE IT AT ALL!! After that support agent has stopped responding at all and some minutes later left the chat conversation without any explanations.
I have sent them the photo they required again, but have decided that this will be the last document I send to them. Also I have mentioned in the description that in case my account is not reactivated within 24 hours, i will have to report a problem to PayPal.
How do you think, what have I seen the next morning? They have refunded money!!!
Now it is obvious for me that they simply TRIED TO STEAL MY FUNDS AND WHERE WAITING UNTIL 45 DAYS WILL PASS AND I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OPEN DISPUTES. THAT IS WHY THEY MADE SO MANY VERIFICATIONS!! But after I have mentioned that I will open disputes they have decided that it is better to return me money.

As a result of my report I want to point out that Freelancer.com is a fraudulent company. Why? They collect your personal info, but at the same time they have no rights for this: they don't have a document that allows them do it. How do they use it? Well, there are lots of ways on the internet how to use personal information in fraudulent purposes.

Please think twice before you send them anything - FREELANCER.COM EVEN DOESN'T HAVE THE CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION! Also they use any chance to steal your funds, SO IN CASE YOU HAVE YOUR ACCOUNT SUSPENDED, OPEN DISPUTES IMMEDIATELLY!!! IF YOU FAIL TO DO IT, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY.

PLEASE REMEMBER - FREELANCER.COM is a SCAM!

Hi all,

I wanted to take a few moments to explain ScamBoard in a little more detail.

Although this forum is new, we actually operated a Reputation Management agency in the UK and USA for some time prior to the launch of this site.

As you can see, the Forum is kind of a “BETA” version and as we get a handle on this sector we will build our platform up to offer a sleek Complaints Resolution System, which will give users a genuine way to refunds or any other resolution they might require.

Someone mentioned about our site not being anything compared to Ripoffreport, and our traffic being a joke.

Well hold on a second, these are both very harsh things to post.

When RipOffReport first hit the search engines, many years ago, it was an extremely simple website with a basic forum element and some ad choices adverts. That was it. As the site grew, only then did it become the system it is now, which to be fair is extremely well optimised and very powerful.

On another note, Ed Magedson is a criminal, charging $2000.00 to investigate a complaint. That’s per complaint that appears on their site and he makes it very clear he will never remove a complaint. That’s extortion. He is wanted to by many international agencies for racketeering.

On the subject of no traffic… Well, the site has only actually been live for a few days and on my last check we were on 1200+ unique web page views… No SEO, no link building and no advertising even considered at this stage. So, not sure what your point is there?

What we want to achieve:

Having worked in the Reputation Management sector for some years, it became evident that a genuine Complaints Resolution platform was required. RipOffReport and Complaints Board only operate a scam themselves and extort businesses with no way of resolving.

Scambook do offer a system which costs about $1000.00 per month to operate and to be fair to them, they do remove resolved complaints. However, in our experience, new anonymous complaints seem to be almost a daily thing onve you enter into their system, which suggests to us that Scambook were posting false complaints to keep the money coming in.

Eventually, we will provide a full resolution package engaging directly with the businesses that have a complaint written about them and resolving on behalf of our users.

Only once the complaint has been resolved, in what ever manner that may be, will we remove a complaint, and that is when we charge our one off service charge for this.

This will cost £500.00 per project.

This cost is nothing compared to any other complaints forums and nothing illegal or unethical will be occurring on our forum.

We have already resolved some complaints, through our reputation team prior to the launch of ScamBoard and we have asked some of our users (who are very happy ofcourse) to write some reviews.

I think that is fair.

I am glad that only a few days into the launch of ScamBoard we are generating some conversations.

The use of scam_board@yahoo.com being unprofessional… Very true and agreed.

Again, its been 5 days, and we have no intention of using yahoo as an on-going email solution. It is very easy and simple to set up a business email and it is on our agenda.

One final thing, Jason West of Yourownstore has nothing to do with me. If you find it hard to believe there is more than one Jason West in the World, check this link: Jason West - UK address and phone number - 192.com (http://www.192.com/atoz/people/west/jason/)

I think this covers everything.

Thanks for the interest and “soapboxmom” thank you for letting the thread stand, I did not realise any Spamming had been done on your site and I would not endorse any spamming on your site.

Thanks, Jason

Then the original poster still lied. The current platform did not resolve the complaint. So, I assume you will provide these former DBAs and further substantiation of these lofty claims. And, do tell us why folks should go to a board like yours instead of contacting enforcement agencies and / or seeking competent legal advice.

Jason West (http://www.smartcompany.com.au/jason-west.html)

One fast growing part of your business is online reputation management. What is it?

More and more people are involved in social networking, which is fast, interactive and opinion driven. They are sharing their views, opinions and experiences with the public and engage in a dialogue about anything and everything.

It is very important to listen to what’s being said online, especially if it is negative. It could be an ex-employee or a competitor writing on a site that is then indexed by search engines and will appear in search results. So it is not just monitoring but also taking responsive action where necessary.

Reputation management is more than just monitoring what is being said. It also involves responsive action which needs to be taken. This is where SEO comes in. Knowing how search engines work is imperative when protecting your reputation online.

Jason West, Representing Vacation Property Recovery. Told my mother he had a buyer for her Timeshare at Westgate Lakes and Spas. He had her send numerous wire transfers for contract fees, title and deed search, closing cost etc. Then claimed one of the employees for Vacation Property Recovery ran off with money from office. Then made her resend all of the fees again. Only to scam her out of all of her money. When in fact there were no buyers or had he even attempted to sell the property. He got her for over $10,000.00.

It’s almost unbelievable the connections you are making, we are astonished reading your posts…

I thought I was entering a reputable forum as a genuine and willing contributor…

Lets start from the top:

“Jason West, Representing Vacation Property Recovery. Told my mother…”

Im not sure what you want me to say here… Uhm, pass my sympathies to your mother?? Lol… I mean what the hell has this go t to do with Scam Board and me?

Now everyone that has ever been called Jason West is a negative and must be me??? I think you have way too much time on your hands…

Search Engine Marketing including SEO is a very important part of the rebuilding of a brands reputation and brand identity. We usually look at addressing the issues of the businesses, resolving complaints and educating their customers in an effort to eradicate future defamation first… PR/SEO etc Is a more long term strategy.

Anthony Barone @gmail.com??? Again, I am flabbergasted… Have no idea what this information is doing on this thread…

Scamboard.com – again? Stunned… what is the relevance?

Maybe it would be best if we withdrew our details from your forum? I don’t want to, but I am baffled as to what is occurring here…?

Jason.

A whole year??? My aren't you confident about the longevity of this venture. And, real companies don't usually register their domain names anonymously.

Real companies also have bios of the company leadership, full disclosure of their qualifications and much more. So, who is this we you are referring to? Do you have licensed attorneys and other professionals on your staff? Why would anyone pay you a penny after perusing your website and noting the lack of anything of substance?

We will look forward to you providing lots more detailed information about you company!

On the subject of no traffic… Well, the site has only actually been live for a few days and on my last check we were on 1200+ unique web page views… No SEO, no link building and no advertising even considered at this stage. So, not sure what your point is there?

No advertising?

What would you call the previous posts? They are 100% free advertising.

And they were obviously left by you . . . or somebody associated with your website.

Your entire post is just more advertising.

And if people have complaints about a product or service, they can put them here at realscam . . . a place where there are no advertisements or porn links.

Why does your website need to exist?

Hi all,

I wanted to take a few moments to explain ScamBoard in a little more detail.

[snip blah, blah, blah....]

Thanks for the interest and “soapboxmom” thank you for letting the thread stand, I did not realise any Spamming had been done on your site and I would not endorse any spamming on your site.

Thanks, Jason
Caught with your pants down my boy! You and the spammer extraordinaire jochampion2012, who is banned, share an IP. Not to worry though, I won't ban you. Idiots like you trying to advertise your scams here do amuse me. Hopefully, your obvious deceit will scare off any potential warm marks.

And, I have glorious news for you. We don't remove posts here without a court order, provably false statements of fact, or because we dang well please, so this thread and your contributions aren't going anywhere!

Then the original poster still lied. The current platform did not resolve the complaint. So, I assume you will provide these former DBAs and further substantiation of these lofty claims. And, do tell us why folks should go to a board like yours instead of contacting enforcement agencies and / or seeking competent legal advice.

Or telling them that you will contact the the newspapers. I have found that it is more effective that paying a solicitor to write a threatening letter.

Spammer boy is just a hopin' that some warm mark will pay him for some dirty work. His advertising campaign here is just going swell. I have found it endlessly amusing! I can't wait for him to come back with some verifiable information about his company and its principles!

jwest and jochampion2012 both registered here on REALSCAM.com (http://www.realscam.com) using the same I.P. address.

C'mon, Jason, get your act together, mate.
