I am new to the forum. I wanted to start a thread about a new program that I guess has just launched and the spam is overwhelming! I have tried to do a little research on it and I found a connection with Russ Medlin, who, by the way just happens to be the same guy that was part of another very similar program a few years back called pixmeup. What is everyone's opinions about this one? The hype I am seeing is really annoying.

* Being heavily promoted by BrIAn Spatola using the "SecondsOld" alias

* already has its' own threads on Talkgold and MoneyMakerGroup

* depends on recruiting new sucke.....err.......members

HYIP ponzi players and desperadoes only, I'm afraid.

This is sort of interesting. BlockBuzz dot com and BlockBuzzing dot com use the same disposable phone number in their registrations (702-706-2899). But where BlockBuzz uses a rental property in Las Vegas as a mail address:

Block Buzz Inc.
2817 Edge Rock Cir
Las Vegas, Nevada 89147
United States
+1.7027062899

BlockBuzzing uses a PO Box in Colorado:

Block Buzz Inc
PO Box 1049
Erie, Colorado 80516
United States
+1.7027062899

The owner of the Las Vegas rental property seems to own a number of investment properties and at the moment I see no reason to believe he's involved here. But that PO Box in Colorado has some history attached to it:

That Free Thing maintains a 30 day 100% refund policy. You must cancel your membership within 30 days of upgrading to be eligible for this refund. After you have been a member for 30 days, no refunds either partial or full will be given.

All refund requests must be in writing. Please send an email to support@thatfreething.com or mail your request to PO Box 1049 Erie, CO 80516 requesting a refund.

Hmm, this might get interesting.

Thank you busttheblock, and Welcome to RealScam.

Thanks for the welcome. There were some connections of pixmeup with Damon Westmoreland also. Scary!

Busttheblock speaks the truth. This is little more than a direct regurgitation of the old PixMeUp scam from years gone by. [Archive dot Org link to pixmeup, com] (http://web.archive.org/web/20060423021903/http://www.pixmeup.com/)

Anyone care to remember how PixMeUp came to an end? Our dear friends at MMG can tell you (http://www.moneymakergroup.com/Pixmeup-Pixmeupcom-t29974.html&view=findpost&p=2582265#entry2582265):

August 4, 2006

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I write to advise you of the current status of Pixmeup.com and our
plans for the future of our business, in a revised format.

Recently we have substantially revised our business and transactional
format, in order to move into new areas of opportunity. In particular,
we have terminated the company's sales activities. While the company
will continue to honor and perform all of its existing contracts
concerning pixel sales and advertising sales previously incurred, the company
will no longer sell new pixel ads to new or existing accounts and will
no longer pay compensation for pixel or advertising sales. All pixel
ads currently under contract will continue to be displayed on our web
servers, through the respective expiration dates of the contracts under
which they were purchased (i.e., for a period of 12 months from date of
initial purchase).

We recognize that some reps are still owed commissions on transactions
previously completed. A significant percentage of our sales proceeds
are currently being withheld by 3rd party credit card companies. We have
communicated with these companies who indicate that they will disburse
all of the retained funds belonging to Pixmeup in approximately
September 2006. Following receipt of its funds Pixmeup will remit payment to
those still owed compensation for pixel ad sales.

Pixmeup is reformulating its business plan and operations in a fashion
that should provide attractive new opportunities for internet product
sales in the future. We will keep you advised of these developments as
they arise, and invite you to monitor our website for publications
regarding future business developments.

Thank you.

The promised payments for commissions earned never materialized. Pixmeup was Russ Medlin's deal (http://www.npros.com/dir/pixmeup/):

PixMeUp Company Overview

PixMeUp

Owners and/or Executives and Executive Consultants
Russ Medlin, Founder

So, did Russ help "provide attractive new opportunities"? He sure did, Billion Dollar Travel Network (http://www.npros.com/execs/Russ_Medlin.html):

President and COO, Billion Dollar Travel Network
(http://www.npros.com/dir/billion_dollar_travel_network/) Russ Medlin has over 10 years experience in the Network Marketing Industry. He has built worldwide organizations and has helped thousands of people to achieve success. Russ has also consulted with various MLM companies and brings his talents, knowledge, and incredible work ethic to Billion Dollar Travel Network.

Which is where we make a connection (http://www.npros.com/dir/billion_dollar_travel_network/):

Marshall Sylver (http://www.npros.com/execs/Marshall_Sylver.html) / Founder and President
Russ Medlin (http://www.npros.com/execs/Russ_Medlin.html) / President and COO
Matt Goettsche (http://www.npros.com/execs/Matt_Goettsche.html) / Vice President of Marketing
Donnel R Liles (http://www.npros.com/execs/Donnel_Liles.html) / Customer Service Manager

BlockBuzz Inc's Nevada Business Registration (http://nvsos.gov/sosentitysearch/CorpDetails.aspx?lx8nvq=TGYshHHae1dkO7SRlisc2w%253 d%253d&nt7=0) lists Matt Goettsche as it's president. So Matt "That Free Thing" Goettsche is the president of a reanimated zombie clone of Russ "takes the money and runs" Medlin's Pixmeup pyramid scam.

Good luck with that folks.

There are some things I'd accuse someone of on a "preponderance of evidence" basis but there are things I wont say about someone unless we can get past reasonable doubt. That Russ Medlin's "PixMeUp" ran off with people's money can be established by the MoneyMongerGroup's thread on the topic and I'm comfortable with that. But folks, fact check me on the following. Compare the pictures:

Compare Russ Medlin's G+ Photo (https://plus.google.com/114175676808391693195/about) (displayed below) with the photo of Russ Albert Medlin found here (http://www.homefacts.com/offender-detail/NV1000532927/Russ-Albert-Medlin.html).1679

Sure as hell look like the same guy to me. Same name, same face, same city. If you clicked that second link you'd find the root of my caution:

I've got a fairly gallows sense of humor and I find nothing funny about this. I devote a lot of my free time to investigating and exposing scams, it's part of why this website exists. Scammers are scum bags, but some are worse than others. Russ Albert Medlin, pick a rock, any rock. And go crawl under it. Daylight isn't your friend and neither am I.
