Don't forget Phil Piccolo's "magnetic" shower product. It purportedly prevented leg amputations while helping garden tomatoes grow to twice their normal size -- while helping dairy herds produce more milk.

He was pitching this product while he was telling his Data Network Affiliates' license-plate recording folks he could save starving children, help the U.S. AMBER Alert program rescue abducted children and protect drivers from getting tickets at intersections with cameras with his "protective" spray for license plates.

One of my favorites was the rubber laundry ball that replaced needing soap to wash your clothes in your washing machine.

And of course all the nano-technology discs that cured about every ailment known to man as well as horses.

Ah, Jim Fobairs' EarthSmart Laundry CD promoted by Phil Piccolo and eventually busted by the F.T.C. (http://www.ftc.gov/opa/1999/07/onesource.shtm)

BTW, I wonder whatever happened to David Schmidt, his Lifewave Patch and all that "nanotechnology (http://www.lifewave.com/)"

I heard on the tv news that they are having to recall the latest detergent small package, it resembles plastic wrapped candy and dangerous around children. Some of you probably know what I am referring to but right now I do not recall the name of it. Where is the intellect of creators of products like this?? Makes you wonder...

Cascade dishwasher soap? That looks like candy but they are still advertising it.

Another good article Kasey. I loved this little remark. "Scientifically speaking, dogs have already been proved to be more efficient than the bomb detectors,"

I Could not resist adding that pigs are even better than dogs at searching for underground rescources. Pigs are trained to sniff out truffles as they are even better than dogs, when it suits them to help their human handlers.
