Thomas Anderson Bowdoin, Jr. has been remanded into custody today by Judge Rosemary Collyer. Her Honor stated that Bowdoin poses a threat to the community, and will remain in jail until his Sentencing Hearing on August 29th.

I wish I could afford to attend the hearing in DC, anyone who can, please do.

If I win the lottery, the flights are on me! (Is applause allowed when the Judge reads out the sentence in the US courts?).

It's good to know, in these corrupt times, that there is still a place for justice.

This was very good news!!! I missed out a few days and heard about it yesterday. I have spread the word around Facebook and maybe it will help shake up a few folks. You think!!??

Thanks Wizzard for all the updates and yes, LORM, we are celebrating with you and be happier still when (hopefully) he gets his jail sentence.

The news that three of the biggest pimps for CEP were given long sentences on the same day should scare people a lot more.

I got this in my email yesterday, sent by Todd Disner. As you can see, Barb Alford is all worried about poor Andy sitting in jail all alone. So she wants peopel to send him money for his commissary account, like I'm gonna do that. He can rot for all I care. Anyway, here's what it says:

As you all are aware, Andy, is now sitting in a DC jail ward. He is in need of funds in his account so that he can purchase shoes, tooth brushes, tooth paste etc. the prison system charges ridiculous prices for this stuff. A pair of shoes alone in there costs 65.00.

You are also all aware that I believe those of us in Zeek and other programs that modeled themselves after the business model that Andy pioneered owe this man a great deal of gratitude and more. Please get in touch with your down lines as well.

I have received info where funds can be wired into his account to help him with his daily needs.

We can do this one of two ways. Anyone wishing to assist in the effort can send the money to me and I will wire all at once or we can do it individually. I have enclosed the wiring information below.

Let's not drop the ball on this one. Anyone willing to do the right thing, one more time, please contact me.

I would appreciate any help you can give. It is not right that this man sits alone in jail hundreds of miles from home with no end in sight when it was he who gave us the path to success.

Respectfully

I am fairly certain there are still enough Kool-Aid drinkers remaining that will send Andy some money so he can buy stuff in jail. After all, it was Andy that taught them how to scam people and do it well. I can only hope that some of them will be joining him in the crossbar hotel.

Not a great deal more needs to be said, really, does it ??

I'd better PM the member "surfer" who started this thread: http://www.realscam.com/f20/why-does-take-so-long-government-action-1245/ (http://www.realscam.com/f20/why-does-take-so-long-government-action-1245/) and get his comments.

Well, if you use statement analysis technique, what she really wants is people to send money to her first under the guise she will send a lump sum. That's what is more important as that is before the option of them sending money to him themselves.

If I remember correctly, there may be a limit as to how much money can be wired the one's prison account at one time.

This is truly hard to believe! Does he need a new pair of shoes in jail?? You mean he did not take a toothbrush?? If people send money to this person or even to Andy, there are some REALLY STUPID people out there and that is scary!! You suppose they could also find him a lover so he can also have sex while awaiting trial. Many they should include that in the requests, as well as steak & trimmings at least once every other day. Oh, what is he going to do about his poor hair, no barber shops in jail, razors or scissors. Wow, I am just beginning to weaken... wonder if I can find some of that Yen I have around here.

Now there's a thought....how kind of her to suggest people sent her the money to pass on.

Maybe she will start up another ponzi (oops I meant wealth generating) scheme to raise funds as well. You know, play the charity card.

Don't worry, Whip. I don't visualize excess of funds being a problem, although he may receive a lot of poisoned brownies.

Sara Mattoon is also asking for people to send mail to poor Saint Uncle Andy, as he says being the DC jail is "literally like being in hell." I am glad he is getting a taste of his possible eternity. I wonder how he will feel about Federal Prison?

Mark your calendars, sentencing is August 29th. I wish I could be there...

Considering that Maddoff got 125 years, i wonder what beans Uncle Andy spilled to get such a sweet deal.

I would imagine it has everything to do with the amount involved, the damage done, the time over which the ponzis ran and the relative positions in society of both fraudsters.

Andy Bowdoin has been sentenced to 78 months, according to sources. I will post the documents once they appear on PACER.
