I classified the MLMers into six types

MLM Grunt (the most dangerous yet the most numerous stage)
-- type I -- crying baby (why am I not making any money?! waaaah!)
-- type II -- gullible guppy (yes, I believe in MLM, I will buy more motivational material!)
-- type III -- snarky baby shark (MLM star is my role model! I will emulate him in every way!)

MLM Star (i.e. leaders)
-- selling star (teaches downlines how to sell products/services, very rare)
-- recruiting star (teaches downlines how to recruit more downlines, far more common)

MLM Coach
-- selling coach (actually teaches sales techniques, to non-downlines)
-- recruiting coach (teaches "lead generation", "attraction marketing", and how to hook people, to anybody)

MLM Supporter
-- MLM news reporters, MLM consultants, MLM lawyers, etc. rarely critique industry itself or the big players, pro-industry

MLM Opponents
-- Bogus product bashers (like QuackWatch), and MLM bashers (Fitzpatrick, Taylor, etc. "all MLMs are illegal frauds!")

MLM Critics
-- between opponents and supporters, allegedly the only true neutrals :D
