I visited scam.com and it's the wild wild west over there. It's a bunch of pro mlm guys saying MLM is great and then refusing to explain why, and one dude who thinks scam.com is great advertising for his MLM business. Crazy.

I believe it's been proven that he has pulled this once before.

Well, I haven't posted on scam.com in almost 5 years and apparently missed all of the fun stuff.

I logged in earlier and saw a couple PM's about a scam2.com that popped up for a little while.

Can't remember what that was about.

Never heard of it myself.

scam2 doesn't exist anymore, but here's a copy of the message they were
sending via PM to scam.com users.

It was from a jamesthomas back in 2006.

Was this when things started going downhill at scam.com?

Scam2.com has launched
Dear Scam.com member. As you are aware scam.com was delisted by Google, which means that Google ads temporarily were taken off Scam.com and will probably soon be completely gone for good in the next few days.

This means scam.com has lost almost all of its revenue for the last 30-60 days and possibly will soon be taken down all together. This would be a shame as scam.com has been a great resource for us to help other consumers and each other.

A group of scam.com members have formed another site called scam2.com so we will all have a resource to keep posting and reporting scams.

We have taken the liberty of creating an account for you using your current username on scam.com. As a charter member of scam2.com you will be initially designated as a senior member.

If Vladimir Sviatoslavich really isn't George then we should see George's lying goon patrol Sojustask / Stephanie Haberman being shown the door. No new responsible owner would keep someone like that as an admin. Sviat would also want to delete any threads on Scam that reference this whole sordid saga and start fresh.

George Dranichak did own the site and he made a complete mess out of it. Is he going to fix it so those dozens of banned ***** common words will appear again? I know exactly why they are gone. Energy, water, power and all the rest were in the names or descriptions of obvious scams whose threads were deleted by George under threat or incentive. That should result in a drove of mad scammers who will once again find their crap will be discussed on Scam and Google up. This will be hilarious to watch!

I've been so wrapped up in my offline life, I've completely forgotten to follow the latest industry forums gossip.

If someone with a common sense could please recap the major historical events as far as scam.com goes, and the reasons for this split into scam and realscam, I'd be very grateful.

I am usually accused of being quite long-winded, but I will give it a shot. How I ended up the first admin here is quite a tale.

I along with ten other starry-eyed volunteers signed on as Mods in January 2009. It was totally volunteer. Sojustask had made her grand exit and told off the owner Zachary on his own forum announcement section. NoMoronHere, Bibleman, HopefulCynic (our own GlimDropper and tech guru behind this forum) and others went to work. Much to our horror the forum had not been cared for at all. There were thousands and thousands of posts that were porn, drug ads and spam. We devoted weeks and hundreds of hours to cleaning up that dump. The Hotel Forum went from 60 pages to just 2 for one example.

The forum was finally cleaned up and we had banned the few members that had done nothing but flame and cause complaints. Everything was running smoothly then Mumbles had his meltdown and banned a bunch members that posted in the political forum and began removing pro-MLM posts. We battled him and got Zachary to remove him before he destroyed the place. Things were running wonderfully again and then who should show up but Sojustask.

She decided to come in and take over again. She brought back Mumbles and spent her time undermining and publicly attacking the new Mods who were doing their jobs as instructed by the owner. I was told in writing by said owner to ignore her and do my own thing. He said he didn't know why she came back, but that he had to be loyal to her. We all knew why. Zachary was George Dranichak at the same IP address. The site had never been sold. She had all the dirt on him.

Sojustask would drop in for a short peek maybe once a week, but would cause havoc as she stepped into situations where she had not read the threads and had no clue what was going on. We were always bumping heads with her. It was a miserable situation and the owner never bothered with the place so we were stuck dealing with her meltdowns and public attacks.

Then all hell broke loose when Len Clements was made a Mod. He had stated on forums all over the net that Scam was a cesspool and overrun by trolls and he was determined to bring the place down and get it off of the first page of Google. His goal was to out the anonymous posters. He wrote on Scam that he wanted to out posters and was threatening them. I blew a fuse. I quoted and forwarded all this to Zachary / George and as usual he ignored all of us including Sojustask.

NMH banned Len and sent him packing. George brings him back over Sojustask's head as an admin. Well, we all knew that feisty witch would never stand for it. She made hamburger meat out of him in short order. Always great for a forum to be tangled in a nasty power struggle. The members were in an uproar except for poor Heiney and Chrissy, of course. She put up new rules about not allowing posts trashing Lenny and I hadn't stopped posters from posting them. Only new posters' posts go up for moderation before appearing, so there was no way I could do anything to prevent it. Remeber George always rambled on about how he wanted to stop scammers in their tracks. Clements was not going to honor that. So, I would have enforced the rule once I had seen it and encouraged folks (as I was already doing) to contact the owner privately and express their concerns, but I wasn't given the chance. Even though SJA knew what Lenny's agenda was she was having fun attacking me and undermining Lenny publicly. I would have never done anything to harm that forum that I had loved at that time. She was hell bent on destroying the place and asserting her authority and the owner didn't have the good sense or the man parts to step in. I left in protest after Sojustask banned me for 3 days.

Many members spoke out in my support and demanded Lenny be removed. I knew I couldn't go back. George was a liar and fraud who was only out to make money off of the site and promote his porn crap. Sojustask was just as dishonest and underhanded. That site was never going to be a place that would allow folks to expose scams and truly help others. George was removing threads and posts en mass and had *** numerous common words as they were in the titles of well known scams. Those scams and scammers had threatened or bribed George into taking down very informative and totally legitimate threads.

I went from over 6000 posts to 2000 around that time. I worked for that idiot like a dog for free mind you and I informed him in writing that Tim Darnell had not gotten an injunction and had lost the case against me in Summary Judgment so the judge did NOT want anything removed. Another judge in a case against Darnell and that snake Jack Weinzierl also said flat out I did not need to remove anything. George removed many long threads, including one that was 92 pages long and had 175 people posting in it, against the word of the courts.

There is no point in anyone posting there. Threads that took hours of hard work and research are hard deleted. That is pure idiocy. Those threads might be necessary for law enforcement or evidence in a civil case. George doesn't care. Poof they are gone and that ignorant fool keeps no records.

Well, someone who had followed my work on Scam bought this place and asked me in as the first admin. I hesitated and said I would be an okay Mod, but are you sure you want me for an admin. Who could say no to the chance to run a real forum. I immediately asked GlimDropper to join us and he has performed miracles behind the scenes. We invited LRM and EagleOne to join us as we grew. No money changes hands, no scams or scammers have their names *** out and we don't cave to scammers here. Heaven!

I get that same message using FF. If I use IE, it asks me to save a cookie but goes to the 'diagnose connection' page.

George Dranichak and Vladimir Sviatoslavich just don't know when they have blown it. Hopeful Cynic / our own GlimDropper, who is listed as a Mod, but was banned by George, has had this place running like clockwork. Sviat is blowing his cool at the spammers that are littering his forum. Updating Vbulletin, which hasn't been done for years on Scam, and installing the right security packages will virtually eliminate that stuff. It is difficult to register here as that keeps the spambots at bay. And, once registered the first 5 posts of a new member that includes any links goes up for moderation. The staff here has almost no clean-up to do. We haven't had a spampede in quite sometime thanks to the very handsome and multi-talented GlimDropper. That dumba$$ George should have hung on to his honest, talented and very hardworking volunteers! And, he might want to revisit the issue of updating that cesspool.
