Since the vast majority of people reading this thread have no clue about ASD Cash Generator, I felt it was time to do a little comparison and contrasting of ASD to TM. Remember the old saying "The more things change the more they stay the same?" Well it applies to TM and ASD.

Back in 2008 ASD was going strong in the early summer months. Then in August, the SEC and Secret Service shut ASD down. Of course all the major promoters, as well as the founder Andy Bowdoin played down the closure by telling the members they were working diligently with the authorities and hoped to have ASD back in operation very soon. Sound familiar TM members?

Of course Andy Bowdoin professed his innocence and he would fight the charges by the SEC. ASD demanded an Evidentiary Hearing to determine if the shutdown was legal, which the SEC agreed to and surprised the ASD attorneys. The Evidentiary Hearing was scheduled. Now let's compare this to the TRO hearing just held for TM. While different in scope, almost the same issues were at stake. In ASD the question was the shutdown by the SEC of ASD legal, and in TM was the TRO legal? The answer would determine if the programs would be able to resume operations and doing business.

Just like in TM, the ASD members were adamant in their support of Andy Bowdoin and the ASD business model. The wannabe lawyers, accountants, marketing people, all professed the legality of ASD, the government got it all wrong, and the SEC should be sued. Sound familiar TM members?

The ASD members were sending tea bags to the DOJ, Congressmen/women, Bill O'Reilly, and anyone else that they could think of that might help their cause. With TM we had the videos and of course the signed affidavits.

Of course during all this time, Andy Bowdoin was telling his members not to panic, ASD would win their case as ASD had done nothing wrong. They were selling "advertising packs" not investments. When ASD was in its heyday, ASD members were told they could never use the word "investment" in their presentations, marketing material and videos. Sound familiar TM members?

Then the big day came for the Evidentiary hearing. There were a significant number of ASD members who "claimed" they were going to the hearing, but only a handful actually went. Hmm, sound a lot like what happened in Salt Lake City doesn't it. The eyewitness reports from the hearing told how lame the prosecutor was, how he kept getting it wrong on what ASD was all about, they called him Goober, Gomer Pyle, and Barney Fife. How attentive the Judge was in the case and was asking questions the SEC attorneys couldn't answer. Of course the defense team was praised for their efforts and were brilliant. The witnesses for ASD were brilliant and fully explained how ASD really worked and it was not a Ponzi. There was no way ASD wasn't going to win this hearing, unless of course the Judge was crooked. After all the bluster of only Andy could properly explain how ASD worked, Andy decided to plead the 5th and refused to testify if called. One of the supporters of ASD made the claim that Andy was too honest to testify. Not kidding, and this line is forever immortalized in Ponzi speak. Now compare this to what Anita said above from her presence in the courtroom. Sound familiar TM members?

We cannot leave out that in the run up to the Evidentiary Hearing, the ASD members were trotting out all the conspiracy theories known to man. ASD got too big and the government wanted their cut. The SEC admitted in a phone call that they were wrong, and were trying to find a way out that would allow them to save face, the SEC had stolen all the funds, the "evil" government needed the money, and the list goes on and on. Any of this sounding familiar TM members?

Then Judge Collyer made her ruling in favor of the government, and of course the ASD members accused her of being crooked (this was the same judge that was going to preside over the ASD civil case if it went to trial), she was bought off, and even more conspiracy theories came out of the woodwork.

Yet there was still hope that ASD would win the civil trial, only the civil trial never happened. Before the trial could be held, Andy Bowdoin did not take the case to trial. The ASD members said that Andy did this for all the ASD members. While it did not make sense, nevertheless this is what they claimed. It is important to put all this into a timeline so all of you can realize just how long these things can take. From the time of the shutdown until Andy decided not to go to trial was more than two years. Then the criminal charges were filed against Andy, and another two years went by before Andy agreed to a plea deal and pled guilty. So it took from 2008 to 2012 before Andy's criminal trial ended and he was sentenced to more than 7 years in prison. There are ASD members today who still believe that Andy did nothing wrong, he was railroaded into pleading guilty, he truly was innocent, and he is a martyr in their eyes. They send baked goods and cards and letters to him in prison to this day.

Now I have left out a lot of all the proceedings that happened in ASD, or this post would have had to be done in 10 parts; but you get the gist of my comparison between ASD and TM. And it is just not ASD either. It happens in every one of these type of Ponzi's.

When Charles and TM loses their hearing, we will hear the same cries from the die-hard TM supporters, except I believe they will be far more vocal than the ASD members were. You don't have to be a psychic to know what is coming and it is coming.

Now you can see that no matter how "totally different, revolutionary, new type of product and never before seen" the hype is the same for every program and it is nothing more than a new dress and lipstick on the same pig

It seems like in this "industry" common sense is not all that common!
